Odds and Ends :]

I have been wanting to share a few pics with you guys.

These first two pictures are of a BEAUTIFUL Christmas ornament that Samuel got for our family while he was camping w/ Joel and Kristin. They went to this huge CHRISTmas store/mall...I think it may have been called Bronners? Not sure though. Anywho, Samuel chose this ornament because it looked like the mushroom on the Mario games. And if you know our family, you know we LOVE Mario. :-) On the other side he had our names painted on it. It will be the first ornament for our new Christmas traditions. A new ornament for a new start.







These next two pictures crack me up. On the second day of VBS the kids made picture frames for their craft. When they brought these home I laughed and laughed at how different my boys really are.

Michael's frame was neat, color coordinated, and perfectly put together. His picture is nice, no silliness. Samuel on the other hand, well, his isn't so neat. He told me that he made his to look like him in thirty years when he a millionaire with a penguin assistant who wears contacts. Look closely at the pic and you can see all of that. Wow. I had no words when he explained it to me. As always, you can click to enlarge the photos.

A day in photos...

Today was a fun filled day for my boys. We went and had lunch with brother, next we went to a park, then they had VBS, then we went to the drive in movies. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the day! For even more pics, check out my Facebook.

BTW- thanks for dinner Mindy, I really appreciated it, and the kids loved it!!

Through the storm...

Right now my prayer is that God will keep us safe, and fed, and clean. Anything over that is a rich blessing.

I have been frantically worrying myself sick about finances. I can't even pay all of the bills that Justin and I acquired together...and now I have school looming over my head. I have to trust God to work it all out for us.

I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that God wanted my boys in LCCS. We prayed about it, and signed them up. We had NO MONEY to pay for them to go there, and they said the wait list would probably be two years. God had other plans. Within two months we got a call saying that BOTH boys were in for the 2008/2009 school year. I was ecstatic, but I still knew we could not pay.

Again...God had other plans. He worked it out so the boys could go to the school that they so desperately wanted to be a part of. He answered their prayers. Now, as I sit here, one month away from the first payment coming due, I am trusting God to work it out. Like I said, I know that He put them in that school, so I have to believe that His will will be done.

I can also sit and fret over my bills all day long...but what good will that do me? I cannot make more money magically appear in front of me! This is just one more storm that God will bring us through.

If God has brought my boys and I through cancer, open heart surgery, immunodeficiency, divorce, family deaths, etc... I know (KNOW) He will help to guide me financially. :-)
